No explanation needed here -- I do this on a weekly basis.
Really? Now I'm the one who wishes for an explanation...
Well, thing is, I'm the last one to go to bed, so sometimes I'll wander in and the cat's in my spot. I don't want to wake up my wife -- she needs all the sleep she can get -- and I don't want to wake up the cat, cuz then she'll want out, and that's a whole 'nother barrel of bullshit. So I take the couch. Luckily, I can fall asleep pretty quickly on the couch (even though, paradoxically, it's not very comfortable).
